"AHHHH....! Help! My favourite straw hat is being taken by that....that...little brown monkey!" cried a helpless lady. Earlier that day, the monkey had escaped from the zoo and was wandering in a nearby park, when it came across some ladies who were taking a stroll. After it had snatched the hat from the poor lady, it leapt away and did not stop until it reached the main road.
Just then a truck, which was carrying a load full of bananas, happened to pass by the monkey. Attracted to the bright yellow bananas, it climbed onto the truck and helped itself to the delicious bananas. After finishing a banana, it would throw the banana skin out of the truck. Unfortunately, one of the banana skin landed onto a passer-by's head.
The truck was heading to a nearby supermarket to deliver the bananas. At the supermarket, the mischievious monkey jumped out of the truck and landed on the ground with a "thud". It went straight through the doors of the supermarket. The monkey then took its time to browse through every single row of the supermarket. It was at the sweets section, that it spotted a little girl, who was eating some colourful candies. Being curious, it went nearer and decided to grab the bag of candies from her and jumped onto a pile of can food.
Lily, the little girl, had a shock of her life and burst out crying. Upon hearing her daughter's cries, Mrs Ng dashed towards her daughter direction. "Lily, darling, why are you crying?" asked Mrs Ng. With tears rolling down her cheeks, Lily told her mother everything. Immediatel, Mrs Ng informed the staff who then alerted the zoo. Everything was back to normal with hours.
The monkey's zoo-keeper added extra locks just to make sure that the mischievious monkey would not try to escape a second time.
